White Diamonds
Colorless, or near enough that only a grader's comparison stones would tell you otherwise. A white diamond carries no message but its own make, which leaves proportion, symmetry, and polish as the only things worth judging. We select for those rather than for the letter on the report.
The Portrait Cut
A single flat table over a shallow body, cut thin enough that the stone becomes a window. Portrait cuts were originally set over miniature paintings in Mughal and Georgian jewelry, protecting the image without hiding it. There is almost no faceting to hide behind: you read the crystal itself, directly.
