A diamond passes through a small number of hands before it reaches you. We know whose hands, because most of them have been ours for a long time. This page covers the two things we can account for directly- the people who do the work, and the electricity that work takes. It is deliberately narrow, and we tell you where it ends.
Surat is an industry with high turnover. Cutters move between factories, work is handed out by the parcel, and pay rises and falls with the flow of rough. Our facility does not run that way, and it has not for a long time.
The senior hands have been with the family long enough to have trained the people sitting beside them. That is not a policy. It is what happens when nobody has a reason to leave.

A slow month for the business is not a slow month for the household.Antique cutting is judgment, not machinery. Reading a piece of rough for an Old Mine cut is a skill built over decades, and it cannot be hired in for a season.
This is not charity and it is not positioning. It is how the work stays possible.We reviewed a full year of power consumption at every location we operate- our cutting facility in Surat, our office in Mumbai, and our headquarters in Los Angeles. On 31 August 2026 we purchased and retired 84 megawatt hours of Green-e Energy certified renewable energy certificates through 3Degrees, a certified B Corporation and one of the longest operating renewable energy providers in the United States.

Retiring certificates does not mean a turbine is wired directly to a polishing wheel in Surat. Anyone who implies otherwise is describing a grid that does not exist.
What it does mean is this. For every megawatt hour our work consumed in 2026, a matching megawatt hour of wind or solar generation was produced, delivered to a grid, and credited to us alone. The certificate is the proof that the generation happened and that nobody else can count it.
We would rather explain the mechanism than let you assume something we did not do. If a claim needs vagueness to survive, it was not worth making.

Electricity and payroll are two lines in a much longer account. Covering them well does not entitle us to describe the whole business as green, and we are not going to.
A natural diamond carries a history that begins long before we see it. Mining, freight, travel, and packaging sit outside what we have measured, and no certificate purchase erases any of it.
What we did was cover the part we can measure and control, have it independently certified, and publish the receipt. That is the whole of the claim.
We are not describing PRIJEMS as carbon neutral, climate positive, or sustainable in the broad sense. Those are different claims requiring different evidence, and we have not done that work.
This describes how the business is run across the 2026 operating year forward. It is not a property of any individual diamond and we do not attach it to product pages.
A portion of what we sell was cut generations before us by hands we will never know. Those stones were never touched by our facility. Their history is their own.
Certificates address electricity at our own locations. They say nothing about extraction, and we make no environmental claim about the mining stage of any stone we sell.
Accounting of this kind is only possible if the facility is yours. Most dealers in antique and specialty cuts buy finished goods, which means the questions below have no answer for them- not because they are hiding something, but because they genuinely do not know.
A stone bought as finished goods arrives with a weight, a grade, and a price. The record of how it came to look that way stops at the seller's door.
The facility is ours and has been for two generations. Every answer below comes from our own records rather than a supplier's assurance.
Every detail of the purchase is below. The certificate itself is available on request to any customer, trade partner, or anyone else who wants to see it.
