Every diamond Prijems sources, cuts, and sells is guaranteed conflict-free. Not as a marketing position. As a non-negotiable condition of doing business — backed by 40 years of direct relationships with miners, cutters, and suppliers we know personally.

Kimberley Process compliance is the floor, not the ceiling. Prijems purchases rough material exclusively from sources we have personally verified through our own network — cutters and suppliers we have worked with for years, in markets we know intimately. We know the journey every stone takes before it reaches us. That knowledge is the real guarantee. We do not rely on paperwork alone. We rely on trust earned over four decades of doing business face to face.
The Kimberley Process Certification Scheme (KPCS) is an international initiative established in 2003 that unites governments, the diamond industry, and civil society to eliminate the trade in conflict diamonds — rough diamonds used by rebel movements to finance armed conflicts against legitimate governments.
Named for Kimberley, South Africa, where southern African diamond-producing nations first met in 2000 to address the crisis, the KP now has 60 participants representing 86 countries — accounting for more than 99% of the world's rough diamond production.
Under the KPCS, every shipment of rough diamonds must be:
People globally supported directly or indirectly by the legitimate diamond industry
People with access to healthcare globally thanks to diamond revenues
Of Namibia's annual export earnings generated by the diamond mining industry
People employed by the diamond industry in India alone
Worth of diamonds per year sourced from African countries
Increase in Sierra Leone's legal diamond exports since the war ended in 2002
Every child in Botswana receives free education to age 13 funded by diamond revenues
Of the world's diamonds come from African countries
We do not add this declaration because we are required to. We add it because we stand behind every word of it — and because our customers, trade partners, and the communities behind these stones deserve nothing less.
"The diamonds herein invoiced have been purchased from legitimate sources not involved in funding conflict and in compliance with United Nations Resolutions. The undersigned hereby guarantees that these diamonds are conflict-free, based on personal knowledge and/or written guarantees provided by the supplier of these diamonds."
We are happy to discuss the origin and chain of custody of any stone in our inventory.
