Old cut diamonds, also called antique or vintage cuts, predate the modern round brilliant of the early 20th century. Cut by hand, they have slightly irregular outlines, small tables, high crowns, and open culets, and they were shaped to glow with fire in candlelight rather than throw off the sharp sparkle of a modern cut. The result is a softer, more romantic stone with real history in it. We offer both true antiques and newly cut old-style diamonds.
