Emerald is the one stone the trade never asked to be clean. Its inclusions have a name- jardin, the garden- and they are read as evidence of where a stone came from rather than something to apologize for. Ours come from Muzo, from Kagem in Zambia, and from deposits across Brazil, each origin carrying its own green: warm and slightly golden, cool and blue, or somewhere in between. We select for the color that happens once, and for the garden inside it.
