Champagne's deeper register- burnt amber, russet, and the brown-red of a bottle held against a lamp. Natural body color formed in the crystal, untreated and unaltered. Saturation this deep changes what the cut has to do: facets that would read as brilliance in a colorless stone read as movement here.

Hexagon, kite, shield, lozenge, bullet, trilliant- angular outlines carrying rose cut faceting, domed above and flat below with no pavilion and no culet. Two ideas nobody had put together until we did it in 2014. Straight edges hold the dome in a way a round never will, and the flat base sits low and close against the hand.
